The Library is closed every Sunday and on the following days: over Easter from Good Friday 2 April to Easter Monday 5 April. |

- The opening hours for Special Collections in the Small Hall on the ground floor of the North Block of Senate House differ. For more information please click here.
Due to the nature of the building the following close down procedure operates throughout the year:
- The last Stack fetch is one and a half hours prior to closure (two hours during vacation time)
- A warning bell is rung 20, 15 and 10 minutes before the Library closes
- Special Collections and floors 5, 6 and 7 are cleared 15 minutes prior to closure
- Photocopying facilities close 15 minutes prior to closure
- The Membership, Returns and Circulation desks close 15 minutes prior to closure
- The fourth floor reading rooms close 10 minutes prior to closure
