ACCESS

Academic staff and students of the University of London are admitted for reference use on production of current identification from the home institution.  Intercollegiate students who wish to borrow should obtain the necessary registration form from the Programmes Office at Goldsmiths, which must be countersigned by an appropriate member of staff in both the home and Goldsmiths departments.  The Library participates in the SCONUL access scheme whereby borrowing rights are given to holders of SCONUL access cards bands A, B and C.

About 12,000 books on open access plus about 2,000 in an on-site closed stack.  36 current serial subscriptions and standing orders and 24 discontinued titles.  Basically an undergraduate teaching collection with a focus on cultural history.

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS OR STRENGTHS

Relatively strong on South East London and Kent.
