Book Conservation
A Co-operative Venture with Camberwell College of Arts
9 October - 10 November 2000
Senate House Library has mounted an exhibition on book conservation to show the importance of work being undertaken in this area. During 1999, the Library made available books needing conservation for use as project material by MA students in Conservation at Camberwell College of Arts. Conservation was carried out to a specification agreed between the students and teachers of the College and Historic Collection staff of Senate House Library.
In 1999, two such projects were undertaken very successfully by Sharon Oldale and Rosemary Yallop. This is an exhibition from their degree show. The programme is continuing this year, and hopefully into the future, to our mutual benefit.
